D-Link DGS 3630-28SC - Switch - L3 - gerido - 20 x Gigabit SFP + 4 x 1000Base-T (combo)

Network bottlenecks and limited scalability can cripple a growing business. The D-Link DGS-3630-28SC-SM-LIC tackles these challenges head-on, delivering high-density fibre connectivity, advanced Layer 3 routing, and physical stacking for up to 9 units. This 1U rack-mountable switch is engineered for enterprise distribution and aggregation layers, where performance and resilience are non-negotiable.

Who is it for

IT administrators and network architects in mid-sized to large enterprises who need a robust, future-proof switching platform. It suits campus networks, data centres, and service provider edge deployments requiring fibre aggregation, inter-VLAN routing, and redundant power options.

Main features

• 20 x Gigabit SFP ports for fibre uplinks and long-distance connectivity.
• 4 x 10/100/1000Base-T/SFP combo ports for flexible copper or fibre connections.
• 4 x 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplink ports for high-speed backbone links.
• Layer 3 managed with static routing, RIP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, and multicast routing.
• Physical stacking up to 9 units (128 Gbps switching capacity per unit) and virtual stacking up to 32 units.
• Comprehensive security: 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, ACLs, DHCP snooping, and IP-MAC-port binding.
• Advanced QoS with 8 queues per port, supporting 802.1p and DSCP marking for traffic prioritisation.
• Jumbo frame support up to 12 KB for efficient large data transfers.
• Optional redundant power via external RPS-600 for high availability.

Tips

Pair this switch with D-Link's DGS-3630 series stacking modules and 10G SFP+ transceivers to maximise throughput. For mission-critical deployments, add the RPS-600 redundant power supply to eliminate single points of failure. Use the combo ports to connect legacy copper devices while migrating to fibre.
