Dimmer encastrado Merten MEG5171-0000, metálico, 220–230 V AC, 50–60 Hz, carga óhmica até 420 W

The built-in Merten MEG5171-0000 dimmer in a metallic finish provides smooth and continuous brightness control for mains AC resistive lighting. Designed for installation into standard wall back boxes, this in-wall dimmer operates at 220–230 V AC and 50–60 Hz and supports resistive loads up to 420 W. Its compact form and metallic appearance suit residential and light-commercial interiors where precise adjustment of incandescent and other resistive lamps is required.

Advantages

This Merten dimmer offers stable phase-control dimming for resistive loads, enabling consistent light level adjustment across the full range. The metallic finish combines durability with a neutral aesthetic that fits many switchplate designs. Rated for up to 420 W resistive load, it accommodates multiple lamps or higher-wattage fixtures without the need for external components. Its compatibility with standard installation boxes and conventional wiring simplifies replacement of existing switches.

Suitable for

• Adjusting brightness of incandescent and other resistive lamps
• Living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas requiring variable lighting
• Accent and decorative lighting zones using resistive fixtures
• Retrofit installations in standard wall back boxes

Key specifications

• Supply voltage: 220–230 V AC
• Frequency: 50–60 Hz
• Load type: resistive
• Maximum resistive load: 420 W
• Form factor: built-in for standard wall back box installation
• Finish: metallic

How to use

Install the dimmer into a standard wall back box following local electrical regulations and ensuring power is turned off before work. Connect the live and load conductors according to the wiring diagram provided with the device and secure the module in place. After restoring power, rotate or operate the control element to set the desired light level; the dimmer provides continuous adjustment across the supported range. For safe operation, ensure total connected resistive load does not exceed 420 W.

Recommendations

Use this dimmer only with resistive lamps or compatible resistive fixtures. Avoid connecting inductive or electronic low-voltage transformers without confirming compatibility. For installations with mixed lamp types or electronic drivers, consult product documentation or a qualified electrician. Maintain total connected load below the specified 420 W limit and follow local wiring codes during installation.
