With up to 8TB of capacity, you get the space you need—whether its for games, large media files, or demanding projects. Keep everything in one place and stay ready for whatever you create next.

Industry-defining reliability

Providing up to 4,800 TBW under a 5- year limited warranty, the 870 EVO meets the industrys leading standards of reliability. It withstands tasks from everyday computing to 4K/8K video processing and comes equipped with a Samsung in-house controller that ensures a stable host experience.

Upgrade with ease

Upgrading to the 870 EVO is made easy for anyone with a desktop PC or laptop that supports a standard 2.5-inch SATA form factor. Once the 870 EVO has been installed into the SATA slot, the Samsung Magician software can help you make the most of your SSD.

Samsung Magician software

Run your SSD your way with Samsung Magician software—a suite of simple tools to maintain high SSD performance. Transfer data quickly and safely, track drive health, and get the latest firmware updates.

Choose the sure thing

We call them files and folders — but theyre really the moments you cant lose, from the plays you cherish to the work youve poured yourself into. When you've got everything to lose, choose the sure thing - trusted performance, solid protection, and the peace of mind that stays with every moment. Choose Samsung SSD.

How to use

Install the 870 EVO in any desktop or laptop that supports a standard 2.5-inch SATA drive by connecting it to a SATA power and data port. Use the included or downloadable migration software to transfer data and system images from your existing drive. After installation, run Samsung Magician to update firmware, check drive health and configure performance settings as needed.

Recommendations

For best results, ensure your system BIOS and storage controller drivers are up to date before installation. Back up important data before performing a migration or system transfer. Use Samsung Magician regularly to monitor SSD health and apply firmware updates.
