Dissipador de CPU SILVERSTONE SST-XE04-SP5B 4U Tower PWM ativo

The SILVERSTONE SST-XE04-SP5B 4U Tower PWM Active is a compact CPU cooler engineered for 4U server racks and low-profile chassis where space is limited but reliable active cooling is required. The design combines a vertical tower heatsink with a PWM-controlled fan to deliver adjustable airflow and consistent heat dissipation for server and workstation processors. The cooler is optimized to fit 4U mounting constraints while maintaining focused thermal contact with the CPU to reduce operating temperatures under varying loads.

Advantages

The tower heatsink profile maximizes fin area within a 4U height envelope, improving conductive and convective heat transfer without exceeding chassis clearance. The PWM fan provides automatic speed regulation based on motherboard or system fan headers, allowing a balance between airflow and acoustic output. The mounting hardware is tailored for compatibility with common 4U board layouts and secures the cooler to preserve contact pressure over time. Materials and construction emphasize thermal conductivity and structural stability for continuous operation in rack environments.

Suitable for

• 4U server racks and compact rackmount chassis
• Small-form-factor workstations with 4U clearance
• Environments requiring PWM-controlled fan speed for noise and cooling balance
• Systems running sustained or variable CPU loads where improved thermal stability is needed

Key specifications

• Form factor: 4U tower-style CPU cooler designed for rack and low-profile chassis
• Cooling method: Active cooling with tower heatsink and PWM-regulated fan
• Fan control: PWM (pulse-width modulation) for automatic speed adjustment
• Compatibility: Designed for CPUs used in server and workstation motherboards with 4U clearance (check motherboard header and socket compatibility)
• Noise and airflow: Adjustable via PWM; engineered for a compromise between airflow and acoustic levels
• Mounting: Dedicated low-profile mounting hardware suited for 4U installations
• Operational focus: Continuous-duty capability appropriate for rack and workstation use

How to use

Install the SST-XE04-SP5B in a 4U-compatible chassis following the included mounting instructions and align the baseplate to the CPU contact area. Apply a thin, even layer of thermal interface compound to the CPU heatspreader before seating the cooler. Secure the mounting brackets to the motherboard or chassis points so the cooler is held with consistent pressure; verify that the tower orientation provides unobstructed airflow to the fan. Connect the fan to a PWM-capable CPU or system fan header to enable automatic speed control based on system temperature. After installation, monitor CPU temperatures and fan operation during initial workloads to confirm correct installation and thermal performance.

Recommendations

For best results, use a PWM header on the motherboard for automatic fan control and ensure chassis airflow is configured to provide intake and exhaust paths that complement the tower orientation. Periodically check and clean dust from the heatsink fins and fan to maintain optimal heat transfer and cooling efficiency in server environments.
