Dutch Oven Petromax ft6-t 5,5 L preto ferro fundido

The Petromax ft6-t Dutch oven (5.5 L) is a cast-iron pot designed for versatile cooking at home, on the stove or outdoors over open fire and charcoal. The pre-treated seasoned finish allows immediate use without initial seasoning. The lid has a raised edge for placing embers or coals, enabling even heating from all sides; the upturned lid can also be used as a pan. Built-in details such as a sturdy carrying handle and a thermometer hole simplify handling and temperature control. The ft6-t model has a capacity of approximately 5.5 litres and is intended for meals for about 4–8 persons. Accessories available for this model include a lid lifter, transport and storage bag, care conditioner and dedicated cleaning utensils, plus trivets for baking without burning.

Advantages

Cast iron construction stores and distributes heat efficiently for even cooking and baking; the seasoned surface removes the need for first-time seasoning. The raised lid edge and durable handle improve outdoor use with embers or charcoal, while the thermometer hole allows checking internal temperature without lifting the lid. The lid design doubles as a frying pan and the product matches Petromax’s established design and quality standards.

How to use

Place the Dutch oven on a stove, in an oven or over coals or open flame. Add ingredients and regulate heat as required; because of the cast iron’s heat retention, lower temperatures and longer cooking times often produce the best results. When cooking outdoors, embers or charcoal can be placed on the raised lid edge to provide top heat. Use the handle to lift the pot and the thermometer hole to monitor internal temperature without removing the lid. If needed, use the Petromax Lid Lifter to remove the hot lid safely.

Recommendations

Clean and dry the Dutch oven after use and apply a thin layer of care conditioner to maintain the seasoned surface. Use a trivet or the supplied accessories when baking to avoid direct burning. Store in the transport bag to protect the surface and prolong the lifetime of the cast iron.
