Elinchrom Rotalux Rectabox preto/prateado 1100 mm x 420 mm x 900 mm

The Elinchrom Rotalux Rectabox (1100mm x 420mm x 900mm) is a rectangular softbox designed for studio and location photography. Constructed with black exterior and silver interior fabrics, it provides even, controllable light and includes internal and external diffusers and a carrying bag. The Rotalux system folds down like an umbrella for compact storage, and its construction yields a high-quality, soft light suitable for portrait, product and still-life applications. The speed ring is not included and must be purchased separately.

Advantages

The Rectabox offers high-quality diffusing and reflecting fabrics and a second internal diffuser to produce smooth, even illumination. Its umbrella-style folding mechanism makes it lightweight and easy to set up and store. Included accessories such as the translucent deflector and carrying bag increase usability, while optional accessories (hooded diffusers, Lighttools grids, and a deflector set) allow further control over light spread, hardness and color characteristics.

Suitable for

• Portrait photography

How to use

Assemble the Rotalux Rectabox by extending the umbrella-style frame and securing the rods into the speed ring (speed ring sold separately). Fit the internal diffuser first, then attach the external diffuser and translucent deflector if softer shadows are required. Mount the softbox on a compatible light head and adjust distance and angle relative to the subject to control softness and shadow fall-off. For narrower light spread, use a hooded diffuser or Lighttools grid if available.

Recommendations

Use the Rotalux Rectabox for controlled, soft lighting in portrait and product work; keep the softbox at moderate distance for even coverage and move closer for softer, wraparound light. Purchase a compatible speed ring and consider Lighttools grids or the optional deflector set to fine-tune light direction and hardness.
