Ferramenta de machado Gedore 1962396

Ochsenkopf OX 648 H-1257 Axe SPLIT-QUICK ROTBAND-PLUS with a 70 cm hickory handle designed for efficient splitting. The wedge-shaped blade reduces the force required for splitting, while the ROTBAND-PLUS patented handle join—consisting of a handle sleeve, tapered collar, fixing plate and wood screw—secures the head and handle as a single unit to improve safety and durability. A long steel handle sleeve protects the handle if the head misses the target, extending service life. The axe is supplied with a high-quality hickory handle with a rounded end for user comfort. The spare handle is delivered complete with protective sleeve, tapered collar, fixing plate and wood screw and can be used to convert the SPLIT-QUICK axe no. OX 248 to a ROTBAND-PLUS model.

Advantages

The wedge-shaped blade design enables optimum splitting results with less effort. The ROTBAND-PLUS connection system provides a robust, integrated bond between head and handle for improved safety. The steel handle sleeve prevents damage when striking off-target, increasing the lifetime of the handle. The hickory handle offers reliable strength and a rounded end for comfortable handling. The spare handle package includes all components needed for installation.

Suitable for

• Splitting firewood and logs
• Outdoor wood processing and garden tasks
• Replacement of worn handles on compatible SPLIT-QUICK axes (OX 248)

How to use

Fit the supplied handle into the axe head following the ROTBAND-PLUS assembly sequence: slide the protective steel sleeve over the handle, position the tapered collar, attach the head and secure with the fixing plate and wood screw. For splitting, use a stable stance and swing the axe so the wedge-shaped blade contacts the log along the grain. Allow the blade geometry and handle length to do the work rather than applying excessive force. Inspect the steel sleeve and fixing elements regularly and tighten or replace components if loosening occurs.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection and sturdy footwear) and ensure a clear work area. Store the axe dry and periodically check the handle, sleeve and fixing hardware for wear. Only use the supplied ROTBAND-PLUS spare handle components to convert compatible SPLIT-QUICK models.
