Ficha coaxial tipo F ShiverPeaks BS85012-AG

The ShiverPeaks BS85012-AG coaxial connector F-type is a single-piece male connector engineered for dependable RF connections. With a 7.5 mm diameter male pin and a compact construction, this connector is intended for use in cable TV, satellite and antenna installations where a secure mechanical fit and stable signal transmission are required. The design emphasizes compatibility with standard F-type female sockets and durability for repeated insertions and removals.

Advantages

This F-type coaxial connector provides consistent electrical contact and low signal loss due to its precise 7.5 mm male diameter. The metal housing offers mechanical strength and resistance to wear, supporting long-term use in both indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. Supplied as a single piece, it simplifies replacement and on-site repairs while maintaining standard F-type interfacing for broad compatibility.

Suitable for

• Cable television (CATV) connections
• Satellite receiver and LNB cabling
• Antenna and terrestrial TV installations
• Replacement or repair of existing F-type terminations
• Home AV and set-top box connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: F-type coaxial, male
• Center pin/male diameter: 7.5 mm
• Material: metal housing and conductor (plated finish)
• Pack quantity: 1 piece
• Compatibility: standard F-type female sockets and cables

How to use

Prepare the coaxial cable by stripping the outer jacket, braid and dielectric to the dimensions appropriate for an F-type termination. Insert the cable into the connector so the centre conductor aligns with the male pin and the braid makes contact with the outer housing. Tighten the connector onto the mating F-type socket by hand or with a suitable hand tool, ensuring a secure mechanical fit without over-tightening. Verify signal continuity and signal strength after installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use with properly prepared coaxial cable of matching impedance and avoid excessive bending near the connector. When used outdoors, employ additional weatherproofing measures such as tape or boots to protect the connection from moisture and corrosion.
