Tesa 4432 (TESA 04432-00147-00) is a beige flatback paper masking tape with a strong natural rubber adhesive. The tape is 19 mm wide and 50 m long and has a paper backing that provides durability and good paint anchorage. It is formulated to deliver clean paint edges and can be removed without leaving adhesive residue when used as intended.

Advantages

The strong natural rubber adhesive ensures excellent tack and bonding to a variety of substrates while the resistant paper backing allows hand tearability and good plottability. The tape withstands temperatures up to 100°C and offers durability for spray painting and sandblasting applications; it also can be laminated to the back of mirrors to provide shatterproofing and meets the requirement according to DIN EN 12600.

How to use

Clean and dry the surface before applying the tape. Unroll and apply the tape by hand, pressing down along the edge to ensure full contact with the substrate. For stencil or sandblasting work, cut or plot the required shapes and secure edges firmly. After paint has dried or processing is complete, remove the tape slowly at a low angle to minimize any risk of paint lift. For mirror safety application, laminate the tape to the back of the mirror following manufacturer safety guidelines.

Recommendations

The tape is intended for temporary masking and surface protection. Test adhesion on a small area if using on sensitive or newly painted surfaces. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure beyond intended use to prevent increased adhesive transfer; do not use on wallpaper or very delicate surfaces without prior testing.
