Inter-Tech ST-2523 Preto Caixa de armazenamento Metal Plástico 9,7 mm

The Inter-Tech ST-2523 Black is a hot-swap storage enclosure designed for installation in a 3.5" external bay and supports two 2.5" drives with a height of up to 9.7 mm. Constructed from metal and plastic, the enclosure allows direct insertion of drives without additional mounting frames and includes an insulating mat to prevent electrical contact between the drive and the enclosure. Each hot-swap frame features an intelligent eject mechanism that pushes the drive out for easy removal and can be locked separately to protect against theft.

Advantages

The enclosure supports two 2.5" drives in a single 3.5" bay, eliminating the need for extra mounting frames and simplifying installation. An intelligent push-out mechanism makes drive removal fast and effortless, while the included isolating mat prevents electrical shorting. Individual locks on each frame add physical security. The metal-and-plastic construction balances durability and weight for convenient desktop use.

Suitable for

• Expanding storage by adding two 2.5" HDDs or SSDs into one 3.5" bay
• Workstations and desktop PCs requiring quick drive swaps
• Environments where removable drive security is needed (lockable frames)
• Systems where drive isolation from the enclosure is required

How to use

Install the enclosure into a free 3.5" external bay of your desktop chassis following standard bay mounting procedures. Insert each 2.5" drive directly into a hot-swap frame until it engages; no separate mounting frame is required. To remove a drive, unlock the frame (if locked) and use the push-out mechanism which will partially eject the drive for an easy grip. Apply the included isolating mat under the drive where recommended to avoid electrical contact with the enclosure.

Recommendations

Use compatible 2.5" HDDs or SSDs with a maximum height of 9.7 mm. Ensure the enclosure is properly grounded and the isolating mat is positioned to prevent metal-to-drive contact. Lock individual frames when drives are left installed in unsecured environments. Avoid forcing drives during insertion or removal to prevent damage to drive connectors.
