Why choose it

The SUN-Pro cage is built from aircraft-grade aluminum, offering robust protection against impacts and scratches while keeping the setup lightweight. Its open frame design ensures the camera stays cool during extended recording sessions, and the integrated 37mm filter thread allows you to use standard filters to enhance image quality. With multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes on top, sides, and bottom, you can mount lights, microphones, monitors, or attach the cage to tripods, gimbals, and other rigs. The cold shoe on top is perfect for a shotgun mic or LED light, making it ideal for vlogging and run-and-gun shooting.

Ideal use cases

• Professional video production with GoPro cameras
• Vlogging and content creation requiring external accessories
• Action sports filming where camera protection is critical
• Mounting on drones, gimbals, or vehicle rigs
• Underwater or outdoor shoots with filter use

Good to know

The cage is specifically designed for GoPro Hero 3, 3+, and 4 Black/Silver models. It does not fit Hero 5 or later models. The included UV filter may vary by package, so check with the seller if it is essential for your use. The quick-release GoPro mount on the bottom allows fast attachment and removal from standard GoPro mounts. The aluminum construction is anodized black for a professional look and added corrosion resistance.
