Advantages

This Kodak STEP printer uses ZINK zero-ink technology to provide maintenance-free printing without cartridges or ribbons. Its small footprint and Bluetooth connectivity allow easy pairing with iOS and Android devices, making it convenient for travel, parties and everyday snapshots. Prints are designed to be smudge- and water-resistant, and the straightforward paper loading makes operation fast and user-friendly.

Suitable for

• Printing 2x3" photos directly from smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth
• Creating small prints for scrapbooks, albums and memory books
• Instant photo sharing at parties, events and informal gatherings

When it may not be suitable

This compact printer produces 2x3" photos and is not intended for standard-size photographic prints or high-volume office use. If you need large format prints, professional photo lab quality, or fast multi-page document printing, this device may not meet those requirements. It is optimized for casual, small-format photo output rather than heavy-duty or commercial printing tasks.

What to consider before purchase

• ZINK paper is required — check availability and cost of replacement packs
• Bluetooth connectivity requires a compatible smartphone or tablet and app
• Not intended for high-volume or large-format printing tasks

Recommendations

For consistent results, use only compatible ZINK 2x3" paper packs, keep the paper stored in a cool, dry place, and update your printing app and device firmware when prompted. Print from well-lit, high-resolution images and avoid touching the printed surface until it has cooled to help preserve smudge- and water-resistant properties.
