Machado individual Gardena 900B

The GARDENA Universal Hatchet 900B is a compact, versatile axe for cutting firewood, garden tasks and trekking activities. It has a fiber-reinforced polyamide (PA) shaft for improved durability and a coated head that reduces friction for easier penetration into wood. The hatchet measures 340 mm in length, weighs 900 g overall and features a 700 g head for effective chopping and controlled handling.

Advantages

The shaft reinforced with fiber-reinforced PA increases robustness while keeping weight low. A non-stick coating on the axe head reduces friction and improves cutting efficiency. The soft grip handle provides ergonomic, secure handling and the balance point positioned close to the head ensures even weight distribution. A hammer function on the poll allows safe, effective use with splitting wedges. GARDENA provides a 10-year warranty for this model.

Suitable for

• Splitting small to medium firewood for stoves and campfires

For splitting, place the wedge and use the hatchet poll (hammer function) to drive the wedge in; do not use steel wedges if not recommended by the wedge manufacturer. Maintain a clear working area and secure the timber before striking. After use, store the hatchet in a dry place and keep the blade protected.

Recommendations

Inspect the hatchet regularly for damage to the head, coating and shaft. Keep the cutting edge sharp and free of rust. Wear appropriate protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection during use. Follow GARDENA's 10-year warranty conditions for care and maintenance.
