Módulo adicional LoRa Shelly LoRa Add-on para conectividade IoT, marca Shelly (modelo Shelly_LoRa_Add-on)

Shelly LoRa Add-on is an accessory designed to add LoRa wireless connectivity to compatible Shelly devices. It enables low-power, long-range IoT communication using the LoRa protocol and is intended for sensor networks and remote device control. The module allows existing Shelly products to operate within low-bandwidth, extended-coverage networks, making it suitable for applications where battery life and signal range are critical.

Advantages

The Shelly LoRa Add-on provides long-range communication while keeping power consumption low, making it a practical solution for battery-powered sensors and remote nodes. It integrates with compatible Shelly devices to expand network reach without requiring high data throughput. The add-on supports deployment in environments where conventional Wi‑Fi or cellular connectivity is impractical or costly, enabling simpler installation and maintenance of distributed sensor networks and remote control points.

Suitable for

• Extending range of home or industrial sensors
• Smart metering and utility monitoring
• Remote environmental or equipment monitoring
• Low-bandwidth telemetry and status reporting
• Battery-operated IoT devices requiring long life

Key specifications

• Wireless protocol: LoRa (long-range, low-power)
• Primary use: add-on module for compatible Shelly devices
• Power characteristics: designed for low-power operation suitable for battery-powered sensors
• Intended coverage: extended range compared with typical short-range wireless technologies
• Application profile: optimized for low-bandwidth telemetry and remote control

How to use

Attach the Shelly LoRa Add-on to a compatible Shelly device following the manufacturer's mechanical and electrical connection instructions. Configure the device and the LoRa network parameters via the Shelly configuration interface or compatible gateway software to match the target network settings. Deploy the combined unit in the field, ensuring appropriate antenna placement and line-of-sight considerations where possible to maximize range. Monitor device operation and battery status through the Shelly management tools or the chosen LoRa network server.

Recommendations

Install the add-on on Shelly devices that explicitly list LoRa compatibility. For best range and reliability, position the antenna away from large metal objects and high‑power radio sources; consider elevated mounting and unobstructed paths between nodes and gateways. Use low data-rate settings and duty-cycle-aware transmission schedules to conserve power and comply with regional radio regulations.
