Monitor MSI MPG 346CQRFDE X24 34" Curvo Rapid VA 3440 x 1440

The MSI MPG 346CQRFDE X24 is a 34" curved gaming monitor that combines an ultrawide UWQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440 with Rapid VA panel technology and a 240 Hz refresh rate. Designed to deliver smooth motion and detailed visuals, the display provides a brightness of 400 cd/m² and a static contrast ratio of 4000:1. With a 0.5 ms response time, the monitor is engineered to minimise motion blur and ghosting for fast-paced games and dynamic content. Multiple connectivity options including two HDMI inputs and a DisplayPort enable flexible setup with gaming PCs and consoles.

Advantages

The curved 34" UWQHD panel increases horizontal workspace and immersion while Rapid VA technology improves color consistency and viewing angles compared with standard VA implementations. A 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.5 ms response time reduce input lag and motion artefacts, making the display suitable for competitive gaming. High contrast and 400 cd/m² peak brightness provide clear detail in both dark and bright scenes. Built-in connectivity options allow simultaneous connection of multiple video sources and simplify switching between devices.

Suitable for

• Competitive and fast-paced gaming where high refresh rate and low response time are critical
• Single-monitor immersive gaming and simulation with an ultrawide field of view
• Content consumption and media editing that benefit from a wider horizontal workspace
• Multisource setups requiring multiple HDMI and DisplayPort inputs

How to use

Place the monitor on a stable desk surface or mount it using a compatible VESA arm if supported. Connect your computer or console using DisplayPort for the highest refresh rate and bandwidth; HDMI can be used for additional devices or consoles. Configure the display resolution to 3440 x 1440 in your operating system or graphics driver, and set the refresh rate to 240 Hz where supported. Adjust brightness and contrast in the on-screen display to match your ambient lighting, and enable any available gaming modes or adaptive sync features in the monitor menu and graphics driver to optimise motion handling.

Recommendations

For competitive gaming, use DisplayPort connection and ensure your GPU can deliver high frame rates at UWQHD resolution. Calibrate brightness and contrast in a dim or neutral-lit room to preserve shadow detail. When multitasking or content editing, take advantage of the ultrawide aspect ratio to arrange windows side by side. Regularly update your graphics drivers to maintain compatibility and performance with high refresh rate and adaptive sync technologies.
