Óculos de proteção Uvex i-5 9183 064 preto branco EN 166 EN 170

Uvex i-5 9183 064 safety glasses combine a modern black and white frame with grey transparent polycarbonate lenses to provide reliable eye protection for industrial and workshop environments. Certified to EN 166 for personal eye protection and EN 170 for ultraviolet filtering, these lightweight glasses weigh approximately 29 g and feature a lens thickness of 1.9 mm. The lenses offer full UVA and UVB protection while the compact design supports extended wear during routine tasks.

Advantages

The polycarbonate lenses deliver high impact resistance and clear optics while remaining lightweight. The low overall weight and slim profile reduce pressure on the bridge of the nose and ears during prolonged use. Integrated UV filtering conforms to EN 170 requirements, protecting eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. The contrasting black and white frame provides a neutral appearance suitable for a variety of workwear styles.

Suitable for

• General workshop and maintenance work
• Construction sites with debris and particle hazards
• Laboratory tasks requiring UV protection and splash resistance
• Manufacturing and assembly operations with mechanical risks

Key specifications

• Lens material: polycarbonate
• Lens colour: grey, transparent
• Weight: approx. 29 g
• Lens thickness: 1.9 mm

How to use

Place the Uvex i-5 glasses over the face, ensuring the lenses fully cover the eye area and the frame rests comfortably on the nose and ears. Adjust position for a snug but comfortable fit; do not force the frame beyond its natural shape. Clean lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth and a manufacturer-approved cleaner to avoid abrasion. Inspect the glasses before each use for scratches, cracks or other damage and replace them if protection is compromised.

Recommendations

Store the glasses in a protective case when not in use to prevent scratching. Avoid exposure to solvents or strong chemicals that can degrade polycarbonate. For tasks with higher impact risk or additional hazards (e.g., liquid chemicals, intense heat), consult relevant safety standards and consider combining these glasses with other protective equipment such as face shields or helmets.
