Origin Storage Datalogic Gryphon - GD4590 - Cabo - Ex. Base

The Gryphon™ 4500 2D series is Datalogic's premium range of handheld scanners. The GD4500 is the corded desk version designed for general-purpose scanning, combining a compact desktop profile with the capabilities of a 2D imager.

Advantages

The Gryphon I GD4500 features an updated ergonomic design and a high-resolution megapixel sensor with warm-white illumination for improved readability. Motionix™ motion-sensing technology automatically switches between handheld and presentation modes based on the operator's movement, allowing flexible use with or without a stand. Warm-white illumination and a highly visible 4-dot aimer improve comfort for the operator and provide precise, targeted reading while reducing accidental scans. A Healthcare model is available with disinfectant-ready and anti-microbial enclosures for clinical environments.

Key specifications

• Model: GD4500 corded desk imager
• Imaging: Megapixel 2D imager
• Illumination: Warm-white illumination
• Aimer: 4-dot aimer with center cross

How to use

Connect the corded GD4500 to the host system and position the unit on the desk or in an optional stand. The Motionix™ sensor will detect natural operator movements and switch between handheld scanning and presentation mode automatically. Aim the 4-dot aimer at the barcode or 2D code and trigger the scan; warm-white illumination enhances contrast for easier reading of colored labels. For stationary scanning, place the scanner in the stand so the reader presents codes without manual handling.

Recommendations

For healthcare or clinical settings, choose the Healthcare model with disinfectant-ready and anti-microbial enclosure and follow manufacturer cleaning guidelines to maintain device longevity and infection-control compliance.
