Pen drive USB iStorage 16GB USB Type-A IS-FL-DA3-256-16

The iStorage datAshur PRO is a hardware-encrypted USB flash drive with 16 GB capacity and a USB Type-A interface. It provides real-time AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption and an integrated keypad for entering a 7–15 digit PIN before connecting to a host. The device supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds (backward compatible), offers read-only access and automatic locking features, and has a rugged extruded aluminium sleeve with IP57 dust and water resistance and crush resistance. No software or drivers are required for use, and the drive is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome, Android, thin clients and embedded systems.

Advantages

Hardware AES-XTS 256-bit encryption secures data in real time, while the on-board keypad removes the need for software-based authentication. The drive’s rechargeable battery enables PIN entry on the device itself and supports features such as auto-lock, timeout lock and brute force protection. Its extruded aluminium sleeve provides physical protection and an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. Plug-and-play operation and cross-platform compatibility allow simple drag-and-drop file transfer without additional drivers.

Suitable for

• Transporting and storing confidential business documents
• Fieldwork where network access is limited (compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, Chrome)
• Use with thin clients and embedded systems requiring hardware-encrypted storage
• Environments where physical durability and water/dust resistance are needed

How to use

Charge the internal battery if needed, set a 7–15 digit PIN via the on-board keypad and then connect the datAshur PRO to a host USB port. Entering the correct PIN on the keypad unlocks the drive and allows normal file transfer using drag-and-drop or any file-management software. If the PIN is not entered, the drive remains locked and inaccessible. The device requires no additional software or drivers to operate.

Recommendations

Choose a PIN of sufficient length and avoid easily guessable sequences; enable timeout lock and rely on the built-in brute force protection to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. Keep the device physically protected despite its crush resistance and IP57 rating, and ensure the internal battery is charged periodically to allow PIN entry on the keypad.
