Portátil Acer Aspire 17 A17-51GM-586T — Intel Core 5 120U, 17,3 polegadas Full HD, 16 GB DDR4, 512 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050, Windows 11 Home

The Acer Aspire 17 A17-51GM-586T is a 17.3" clamshell laptop with a Full HD (1920 × 1080) IPS display, Intel Core 5 120U processor with 10 cores, 16 GB of DDR4 memory (2 × 8 GB) and a 512 GB SSD. It combines integrated Intel graphics with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU, offers Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, and runs Windows 11 Home. The chassis is grey and the device is designed for everyday multimedia, productivity and light gaming tasks.

Advantages

This laptop provides a balance of processing power and graphics performance through the combination of an Intel Core 5 120U CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU, while a 512 GB NVMe SSD and 16 GB DDR4 RAM support responsive system operation and fast application loading. The 17.3" Full HD IPS screen delivers a wide viewing area with consistent colours, and modern wireless standards such as Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 ensure reliable connectivity.

Suitable for

• Office productivity and multitasking (documents, spreadsheets, online meetings)
• Multimedia playback and content consumption (streaming video, photo viewing)
• Light to moderate photo and video editing
• Casual and light gaming

When it may not be suitable

This model may not be the best choice for demanding AAA gaming at maximum settings or for professional work that requires very high-end GPU compute (for example, heavy 3D rendering or large-scale machine learning). Also, its 17.3" size and weight around 2.09 kg make it less convenient for users seeking a very compact or ultra-light ultraportable.

How to use

Set up the laptop by connecting the charger and performing the initial Windows 11 setup. Use the preinstalled OS to install your required applications, transfer or store files on the 512 GB SSD, and configure wireless networks via Wi‑Fi 6E settings. For gaming or graphics work, install the latest GPU drivers from the NVIDIA website to ensure optimal performance. Keep the vents clear and place the laptop on a flat surface to maintain cooling efficiency during extended use.

What to consider before purchase

• Screen size and portability: 17.3" provides a larger workspace but increases weight and footprint.
• Performance needs: suitable for multimedia, productivity and light gaming but not for the most demanding GPU workloads.
• Storage capacity: 512 GB SSD offers fast performance; consider additional external or cloud storage if you need more space.
• Battery life expectations: rated around 8.5 hours, actual runtime depends on workload and settings.

Recommendations

For balanced everyday use, keep the system and drivers updated, use power profiles according to your tasks (performance mode for gaming, balanced for daily work), and consider an external SSD or cloud backup if you handle large media projects. Regularly clean air vents and avoid blocking airflow to maintain thermal performance.
