Key specifications

How to use

Connect a condenser microphone to the microphone input and ensure the unit is powered. Activate the 48V phantom power if required by the microphone. Route the preamp's output to a mixer, audio interface or recorder using an appropriate cable. Adjust the gain control while monitoring levels on the downstream device or through headphones to avoid clipping and to achieve the desired input level. Turn off phantom power before disconnecting microphones that do not require it.

Recommendations

Use balanced cables and keep cable runs as short as practical to minimize interference. Confirm microphone compatibility with 48V phantom power before connecting vintage or ribbon microphones. Allow the unit to warm up briefly after powering on for stable performance, and set gain conservatively to preserve headroom and reduce noise.
