Move the mouse to control the pointer, use the left and right buttons for selection and the scroll wheel to navigate long pages. No additional drivers are normally needed for basic functionality.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the mouse on a flat, non-reflective surface and keep the optical sensor area clean. Keep the RF receiver within a few metres of the mouse to maintain a stable connection and replace batteries when cursor responsiveness decreases.
