Rittal AX 2475.010 telhado de proteção contra chuva 800 x 300 mm aço inoxidável para proteção de caixa

Rittal AX 2475.010 rain hood 800 x 300 mm stainless steel for enclosure protection is a stainless steel protective hood designed to shield outdoor enclosures and cabinets from rain and direct water ingress. The hood fits above ventilation openings, doors or cable entries to divert precipitation away from sensitive hardware, while keeping access and airflow possible. Its corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction is intended for prolonged outdoor exposure and supports use in industrial, telecom and electrical housing applications.

Advantages

The stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance and mechanical strength for outdoor use. The hood’s dimensions — 800 x 300 mm — offer broad coverage for standard enclosure front or top openings without obstructing access. The design diverts rainwater effectively while preserving ventilation and door operation, reducing the risk of moisture-related faults. Mounting points and a simple profile make installation straightforward and compatible with common enclosure layouts.

How to use

Install the rain hood above the enclosure opening to be protected, aligning the hood so that its overhang directs water away from vents, doors or cable entries. Secure the hood to the enclosure using appropriate fasteners and seals for the enclosure material and mounting surface; ensure the selected fixings maintain the hood’s corrosion resistance. Confirm that the hood does not interfere with door operation or ventilation flow and that any gaps are sealed or routed to avoid water entry at attachment points. Regularly inspect the hood and mounting hardware for damage, debris or corrosion to maintain effective protection.

Recommendations

Select stainless-steel compatible fasteners and corrosion-resistant sealing materials when mounting. Periodically remove accumulated debris and check seals after severe weather to ensure continued protection and proper ventilation.
