Ruckus Commscope/Ponto de acesso R670 WW tri 2x2 2 l 2+4 11be interior

Dense indoor environments demand wireless infrastructure that can handle high client counts, bandwidth-hungry applications, and emerging Wi-Fi 7 devices without breaking a sweat. The RUCKUS R670 access point tackles these challenges head-on with tri-band Wi-Fi 7 technology, delivering up to 9.3 Gbps aggregate throughput across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and the newly opened 6 GHz spectrum. Its 4x4:4 MIMO on 6 GHz and 2x2:2 on the other bands ensure robust performance even in crowded spaces like offices, classrooms, and retail floors.

Who is it for

This access point is built for IT administrators and network architects who need to future-proof their wireless LANs for Wi-Fi 7 clients while maintaining compatibility with legacy devices. It suits medium to large indoor deployments where high density and low latency are critical—think conference centers, hospitals, universities, and multi-tenant offices. If your current Wi-Fi 6 network is buckling under the strain of video conferencing, IoT, and AR/VR applications, the R670 provides the headroom you need.

Main features

• Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be): Operates simultaneously on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz, with 2x2:2, 2x2:2, and 4x4:4 MIMO respectively, unlocking the full potential of the 6 GHz band.
• Blazing speeds: Aggregate data rate up to 9.3 Gbps, enabling 8K video streaming, large file transfers, and seamless AR/VR experiences.
• Advanced Wi-Fi 7 features: Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for simultaneous multi-band connections, 4096-QAM for higher data density, and preamble puncturing for efficient spectrum use.
• Dual Ethernet ports: One 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port for high-speed uplink and one 1 Gigabit Ethernet port for additional wired connectivity or link aggregation.
• Flexible power options: Supports PoE+ (802.3at) and PoE++ (802.3bt) for simplified deployment without separate power cables.
• Enterprise-grade security: WPA3, WPA2, 802.1X, and captive portal support, plus MAC address filtering for granular access control.
• Versatile management: Can be managed standalone, via RUCKUS SmartZone, Unleashed, or cloud-based controllers, giving you flexibility as your network evolves.
• High client capacity: Supports up to 1024 concurrent clients, ideal for high-density environments.
• Internal omnidirectional antennas: Provide consistent coverage and simplify installation without external antenna alignment.

Tips

For optimal performance, mount the R670 on a ceiling in the center of the coverage area, away from metal obstructions. If using PoE+, ensure your switch can deliver at least 25.5W per port; for full functionality including USB and maximum throughput, consider PoE++ (802.3bt). When deploying in high-density environments, leverage the 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi 7 clients to reduce congestion on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Use RUCKUS Unleashed for simple, controller-less management in small to medium deployments, or integrate with SmartZone for larger, multi-site networks.
