Sensor de presença para casa de banho LoRaWAN ToF Milesight VS330-868M para deteção de presença

The Milesight VS330-868M Bathroom Occupancy Sensor is a wall-mounted presence detector that uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology and LoRaWAN wireless communication to monitor occupancy in restrooms and similar spaces. The sensor provides contactless distance measurement to identify human presence and absence, enabling automated monitoring and integration with building management systems. Compact and designed for low-power operation, the device supports remote status updates and event notifications for facility managers and service teams.

Advantages

Precise ToF sensing delivers reliable, non-contact occupancy detection with minimal false triggers from environmental factors. LoRaWAN connectivity allows long-range wireless reporting and low-power operation suitable for battery-powered installations. The sensor’s compact design and adjustable mounting position simplify installation in a variety of restroom layouts and service areas. Data from the device supports cleaning optimization, energy management and usage analytics without requiring complex wiring.

Suitable for

• Public and commercial restrooms in offices, shopping centers and transport hubs
• Hotel and hospitality washrooms for cleaning and service scheduling
• Healthcare and assisted-living facility bathrooms for occupancy monitoring
• Remote or hard-to-wire locations where wireless presence detection is needed

Key specifications

• Detection method: Time-of-Flight (ToF) distance measurement for presence detection
• Wireless protocol: LoRaWAN for long-range, low-power data transmission
• Power: battery-powered operation designed for low energy consumption
• Mounting: wall-mount installation suitable for restrooms and similar spaces
• Output: occupancy events and periodic status reports for remote monitoring

How to use

Install the sensor on a suitable wall inside the bathroom, positioning it to face the area where presence should be detected while avoiding direct exposure to spray or steam. After mounting, register the device on the LoRaWAN network and configure reporting intervals and event thresholds through the network server or management platform. The sensor continuously measures distance and sends occupancy events when a presence threshold is crossed; configure downstream systems to receive these events for cleaning alerts, analytics or building automation actions.

Recommendations

Place the sensor at a height and angle that provides a clear detection zone and minimizes interference from doors or fixed fixtures. For reliable long-term operation, verify LoRaWAN signal coverage before installation and set reporting intervals that balance responsiveness and battery life based on location activity.
