Sensor fotoelétrico em garfo Panasonic PM-F45-P, tipo F, 5–24 V DC, comutação clara/escura

The Panasonic PM-F45-P is a compact F-type photoelectric fork sensor designed for non-contact detection and position sensing in automation and packaging applications. Operating on a 5–24 V DC supply, the sensor's fork form factor allows it to detect small parts, label edges, or web edges reliably without physical contact. It supports both light-on and dark-on switching modes to suit different detection conditions and system logics.

Advantages

The fork-shaped optical path ensures stable detection of narrow or thin objects while keeping alignment simple and repeatable. Wide supply voltage compatibility (5–24 V DC) allows integration with various control systems. The availability of both light-on and dark-on switching modes provides flexibility for use with reflective or transmissive targets and different signal polarities. Its compact size minimizes footprint and facilitates installation in tight spaces on conveyor systems and assembly stations.

Suitable for

• Non-contact detection of small mechanical parts on assembly lines
• Label edge detection and web-edge monitoring in packaging machines
• Position sensing for pick-and-place and inspection systems
• Counting or presence detection of thin or narrow items

Key specifications

• Sensor type: Photoelectric fork (F-type)
• Supply voltage: 5–24 V DC
• Switching modes: Light-on and dark-on selectable
• Output: Electronic switching output compatible with standard DC control inputs
• Detection method: Optical interruption through the fork aperture for contactless sensing
• Form factor: Compact fork housing suitable for constrained installation spaces

How to use

Mount the sensor so that the target passes through the fork aperture perpendicular to the optical axis. Ensure stable mechanical fixation to prevent movement that could affect detection accuracy. Select the appropriate switching mode (light-on or dark-on) according to whether the target blocks or reflects the light beam, and wire the sensor to the control circuit using the specified DC supply range. Adjust the mounting position and, if applicable, alignment of the target path until reliable switching is achieved during normal operation.

Recommendations

Choose light-on mode for applications where the presence of a reflective target should cause an ON output; choose dark-on when interruption of the beam by an object must trigger the output. Keep the fork aperture free from dust and debris, and avoid direct exposure to strong ambient light sources that could affect detection. Verify compatibility with your control inputs and provide appropriate wiring protection and filtering where electrical noise is present.
