Serra circular DeWALT D23700

The DeWALT D23700 circular saw is designed for professional and advanced DIY cutting tasks that require power and precision. Equipped with a 23 cm diameter blade and a robust motor, the saw delivers consistent cutting performance for a variety of materials. Compact dimensions and a balanced weight make the tool suitable for site work and workshop use where controlled, repeatable cuts are needed.

Advantages

The saw combines a high no-load speed of 4700 RPM with a powerful motor system to achieve efficient cutting rates and smooth edges. Its 8.6 cm maximum cutting depth at 90° enables thicker material sections to be processed in one pass. With a clear focus on usability, the design offers a manageable form factor and weight that support longer operation periods without excessive fatigue. The tool also provides stable operation for consistent results across repetitive tasks.

Suitable for

• Cross-cutting and rip-cutting of wood and wood-based panels
• On-site carpentry and framing work
• Workshop applications requiring repeatable precise cuts
• Cutting tasks where mid-depth penetration (up to 86 mm) is required

Key specifications

• Blade diameter: 230 mm
• No-load speed: 4700 RPM
• Maximum cutting depth at 90°: 86 mm
• Input power: 1750 W (AC)
• Output power: 960 W
• Width: 420 mm
• Height: 290 mm
• Weight: 8.2 kg

How to use

Before operation, fit a suitable 230 mm saw blade rated for the intended material and check that the blade guard, base plate and depth adjustment are functioning correctly. Set the cutting depth to slightly greater than the material thickness for a clean cut, secure the workpiece, and use two-handed control or a stable guide for straight cuts. Start the saw and allow it to reach full speed before beginning the cut, maintain a steady feed rate, and avoid forcing the saw through the material. After completing the cut, allow the blade to stop fully before setting the tool down and perform routine checks and cleaning.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection and dust extraction when cutting. Choose a blade type and tooth count matched to the material for optimum finish and reduced load on the motor. For repetitive or long cuts, consider using a guide rail or clamped straightedge to improve accuracy and reduce operator fatigue.
