Switch gerido Grandstream Networks GWN7811

The Grandstream Networks GWN7811 is a managed Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 8 Gigabit RJ-45 ports (10/100/1000). Designed for scalable, secure, and high-performance business networks, it provides a 56 Gbit/s switching capacity and a MAC address table supporting up to 16,000 entries. The metal-grey unit supports rack mounting and complies with multiple IEEE networking standards to fit enterprise environments.

Advantages

The GWN7811 offers Layer 3 managed switching with a compact 8-port Gigabit configuration, 10G support, and a high switching capacity for efficient traffic handling. Built-in management options include Grandstream’s GWN.Cloud for cloud-based management, GWN Manager for on-premise centralized management, and an embedded controller accessible through the device web interface for auto-discovery and provisioning of in-network Grandstream devices.

Suitable for

• Small to medium enterprise access switching
• Edge aggregation in branch offices
• Rack-mounted network closets and server rooms
• Environments requiring centralized management and provisioning

How to use

Install the GWN7811 in a standard rack or place it on a flat surface and connect power. Use the web GUI, GWN.Cloud, or GWN Manager to perform initial configuration—set up VLANs, routing, QoS and security policies as required. For multi-device deployments, enable the embedded controller to auto-discover and provision other Grandstream GWN devices for centralized management.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, deploy the GWN7811 in temperature-controlled rack environments, keep firmware up to date via the chosen management platform, and configure VLANs and access control to separate critical traffic. Use the embedded controller or GWN Manager for larger on-premise deployments and GWN.Cloud when remote centralized management is preferred.
