Switch Gerido L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet Cisco Catalyst C9300-24U-A

The Cisco Catalyst C9300-24U-A is a managed L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 24 RJ-45 ports, designed as part of the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series platform for enterprise access layers. It offers a switching capacity of 208 Gbit/s, supports a MAC address table with 32,000 entries, and complies with common IEEE networking standards. The switch is optimized for stacking, high-density PoE/UPOE power delivery, and programmability via Cisco IOS XE, making it suitable for secure, scalable campus and branch deployments.

Advantages

The switch provides high-density Gigabit connectivity with 24 copper ports in a rack-mountable form factor and supports managed L2/L3 features for enterprise networks. It is built on the Catalyst 9300 platform that delivers high stacking bandwidth and resilient StackWise/StackPower architectures, supports Cisco Unified Access Data Plane (UADP) capabilities, and runs Cisco IOS XE for enhanced security, automation, and programmability. Built-in support for IEEE PoE standards enables power delivery to connected devices.

Suitable for

• Access layer in campus networks
• Branch office connectivity
• Environments requiring PoE/UPOE for IP phones, wireless access points, and cameras
• Deployments needing stacking, high availability, and programmability

How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack using the supplied mounting brackets and ensure proper ventilation and power connections. Use the console port or Cisco network management tools to perform initial configuration, enable required L2/L3 features, configure VLANs and PoE settings, and join stacks via StackWise if multiple chassis are used. Apply Cisco IOS XE images and appropriate licenses for advanced features, and integrate the device into your Cisco DNA/SD-Access fabric if required.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a controlled environment with adequate cooling and clean power. Keep firmware up to date, configure role-based access control, and use stacking and StackPower features to achieve higher availability and simplified power management for PoE devices.
