Cabo de fibra ótica Synergy 21 S217015 5 m 2x LC 2x SC OM4

The Synergy 21 S217015 5 m OM4 fibre optic cable provides multimode connectivity with 2x LC and 2x SC connectors for full-duplex data transmission. Designed for short- to medium-range high-speed networks, the cable uses a 50 µm core diameter OM4 fibre to support increased bandwidth and consistent signal quality across links. The 5-metre length offers flexible placement between switches, patch panels and active equipment while maintaining low insertion loss and stable performance in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable delivers higher modal bandwidth and lower attenuation compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling reliable high-speed transmission for data centre and enterprise environments. The combination of LC and SC terminations ensures compatibility with a wide range of networking hardware and patch panels. The cable construction reduces signal reflections and supports full-duplex operation, helping to maintain link integrity for demanding applications.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and rack-to-rack connections
• Enterprise LAN backbone and server connectivity
• AV distribution and high-bandwidth storage area networks (SAN)
• Patch panels and optical distribution frames with LC and SC ports

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 5 metres
• Connectors: 2x LC to 2x SC, duplex
• Operation: full-duplex optical links
• Typical use: short- to medium-range high-speed links

How to use

Handle the fibre cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends to prevent increased attenuation. Connect the LC connectors to corresponding LC ports and the SC connectors to SC ports on the opposite device or patch panel, ensuring correct polarity for duplex operation. Secure the cable in routing trays or cable management panels to prevent strain on the connectors and maintain minimum bend radius throughout the installation. Clean connector end-faces before mating to ensure optimal optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and route the fibre cable away from sources of electromagnetic interference and mechanical damage. Use appropriate dust caps when ports are not in use and follow standard fibre handling procedures including cleaning and inspection of end-faces before connection. For optimal performance in high-density environments, verify link budgets and connector insertion loss during commissioning.
