Cabo de rede Sonstige S216064 Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP) RJ-45–RJ-45 5 m laranja

Sonstige S216064 Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP) RJ-45–RJ-45 5 m Orange is a stranded network patch cable designed for structured cabling and Gigabit Ethernet. The cable features four twisted pairs with individual foil shielding around each pair and an overall braided shield to minimize electromagnetic interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the 5 m length is suitable for short runs between switches, patch panels and networked devices, while the orange outer jacket provides clear visual identification in cabling environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP (S-STP) construction provides improved protection against crosstalk and external EMI compared with unshielded cables, helping maintain signal integrity for high-speed data transmission. The RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with standard Ethernet ports and the 5 m length offers flexibility for rack and desktop arrangements without excess cable slack. The bright orange jacket simplifies cable management and fast identification in installations with multiple runs.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers and computers
• Patching between patch panels and network equipment in racks
• Structured cabling in small offices, server rooms and data closets
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual foil around each pair + overall braid)
• Connectors: RJ-45 Male – RJ-45 Male
• Length: 5 m
• Color: Orange

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device (switch, router, computer) and the other end to the corresponding port on the patch panel or another device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain minimum bend radius specified for Ethernet cables; avoid running alongside high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference. For wall-mounted or rack installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for Gigabit Ethernet and shorter links up to typical horizontal cabling lengths; test links after installation with appropriate network testers to verify continuity, pair integrity and shielding. When installing in mixed-cable bundles, maintain consistent grounding practices for shielded cabling to ensure the shield is effective.
