How to use

Install the Deco X50‑Outdoor at a suitable outdoor location with access to power and, if required, an Ethernet connection to your primary router or another Deco unit. Use the Deco app to add the unit into an existing Deco mesh system or to create a new mesh network. Configure SSID and security settings in the app, and choose wired or wireless backhaul depending on site layout to optimise throughput. Position the unit to avoid large metal obstructions and excessive signal interference for best coverage.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use a Gigabit Ethernet connection for backhaul where possible and place the unit under some physical shelter to reduce direct exposure to extreme weather. Regularly update firmware via the Deco app to maintain stability and security.
