Transmissor AV LevelOne 4-Port Cat.5 Transmissor VGA

The LevelOne AVE-93xx series Cat.5 Audio/Video Extenders transmit audio and video signals from a PC or DVD player to remote plasma or LCD monitors using Cat.5/6/7 cabling. Designed for extending HDTV and standard video sources up to 300 meters, the system includes dedicated transmitter and receiver units and supports different cable kits for PC and TV connections.

Advantages

These extenders use cost-effective Ethernet cabling to deliver audio and video over long distances without additional software or interface cards. The line supports multiple remote locations via cascadeable repeaters, offers adjustable video gain and focus on receiver units, and accommodates both VGA (high-resolution) and composite/S-Video connections through specific cable kits.

Key specifications

• Transmission medium: Cat.5/6/7 cabling
• Maximum single-link distance: up to 300 m
• Cascadeable distance (with AVE-9304A stacked in 3 levels): up to 900 m
• Supported PC resolution: up to 2048 x 1536 at 300 m (VGA A/V kit)
• Supported TV formats (TV cable kit): Composite / S-Video; 480i, 480p, 720i
• Supported displays: VGA/SVGA/XGA TFT-LCD, LCD TV, PDP, DDC2B projectors
• Installation: plug-and-play, no software or interface cards required
• Controls: adjustable video gain and focus on repeater/receiver units

How to use

Connect the AVE-93xx transmitter to the source device (PC or DVD player) using the appropriate PC or TV cable kit. Run Cat.5/6/7 cable from the transmitter to the remote AVE-9300 receiver; for multiple locations or longer distances, insert AVE-9304A repeaters and cascade up to three levels. Attach the receiver output to the remote monitor or projector. Power on all units and, if necessary, use the receiver/repeater video gain and focus controls to optimize image quality.

Recommendations

Use high-quality Cat.5e or Cat.6 cabling and the correct cable kit for your source (VGA or Composite/S-Video). For maximum resolution (2048x1536) and stable HDTV transmission, keep individual link runs within 300 m and use cascade repeaters only when longer reach is required. Adjust video gain and focus at the receiver when extending signals over long distances.
