Fischer 512208 is a grey sanitary silicone sealant designed for corner, movement and connection joints in sanitary and kitchen areas. The product has 25% elasticity, provides powerful adhesion and high abrasion resistance, and is suitable for use on smooth substrates. Its skin-over time is approximately 10 minutes and it withstands temperatures from -40 °C to 180 °C. The cartridge contains 310 ml, and the minimum application temperature is 5 °C.

Advantages

The high-quality silicone formulation allows for easy application and smoothing, enabling efficient work on joints. With 25% movement accommodation, the sealant is suitable for high-stress expansion joints and provides long-lasting jointing. Very good adhesion on smooth surfaces helps prevent moisture ingress into the substrate, while high wear resistance and long-term mold protection maintain the integrity of the sealed surface during cleaning and regular use.

Suitable for

• Sealing corner and connection joints in bathrooms and kitchens
• Movement and expansion joints with high stress
• Sealing around sinks, bathtubs, showers and tiles

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, grease and old sealant. Cut the cartridge tip to the required bead size and fit a compatible nozzle. Apply the silicone sealant evenly into the joint, maintaining continuous pressure on the cartridge. Smooth the joint within the skin-over time to achieve a neat finish. Allow full curing according to joint width and temperature before exposing the seal to water or mechanical stress.

Recommendations

Store the product frost-free and use at temperatures above 5 °C. For best results on non-porous or glossy surfaces, test adhesion first. Follow local regulations for mold-sensitive areas and allow sufficient cure time before cleaning or using the sealed area.
