Verbatim DataLifePlus 8,5 GB DVD+R DL 50 unid.

Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD+R DL discs provide a native capacity of 8.5 GB per disc and are supplied in a 50-piece spindle. These professional optical media are manufactured to tighter specifications than standard consumer discs to improve compatibility with writers and recorders, resulting in higher recording quality, improved readability and longer archival lifetime. The spindle packaging keeps discs organized and protected for storage and transport.

Advantages

Higher manufacturing tolerances and the DataLifePlus formulation deliver consistent write performance and reduced error rates compared with standard media. The dual-layer DVD+R DL format offers 8.5 GB capacity per disc, and the 8x write speed balances reliable recording with reasonable burn times. Spindle packaging simplifies handling and storage of the 50 discs.

How to use

Place a disc on the recorder tray or into the recorder's slot and select a compatible burning application. Choose the DVD+R DL format in the software and set the write speed (up to 8x) according to your recorder's recommendations. Finalize the disc if you want it to be readable in standard DVD players; otherwise leave it open for multisession writing if supported. After burning, allow the disc to settle for a short time before handling and store it on the spindle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Recommendations

For best results, use a recorder firmware that supports DVD+R DL media and match the burn speed to the drive's certified speeds. Label discs with a soft-tipped permanent marker and store vertically in the spindle to minimize scratches and exposure to heat or humidity.
