Acessório de rede industrial METZ CONNECT 142M2X12050 comprimento do cabo 5 m

The METZ CONNECT 142M2X12050 Cable length 5 m is an industrial networking accessory designed to provide reliable connectivity in demanding environments. The product features a 5 meter cable that gives installers flexibility when routing connections between devices in control cabinets, machinery or distributed network nodes. It is intended to support stable signal transmission and reduce installation constraints where fixed or short cables would limit placement options.

Advantages

The cable offers an extended reach of 5 m to simplify connections across larger equipment layouts without the need for extensions. Its construction is suitable for industrial use, aiming to maintain consistent electrical characteristics and signal integrity over the cable length. The accessory is compatible with common industrial networking setups and supports straightforward installation to minimize downtime during maintenance or integration.

Suitable for

• Connecting networking modules inside control cabinets
• Linking field devices and distributed I/O over short to medium distances
• Temporary or permanent cabling in production and automation systems
• Replacement of damaged or undersized factory cabling

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Application area: industrial networking and automation
• Connector style: designed for compatible industrial network interfaces
• Mechanical characteristics: flexible routing for cabinet and machine installation
• Electrical behavior: specified to maintain signal stability over the length

How to use

Route the METZ CONNECT cable between the required network ports, ensuring connectors align with the mating interfaces and that the cable is not under mechanical stress. Secure the cable with appropriate clamps or cable ties to prevent movement and wear. Verify connections visually and by testing the network link; replace the cable if any damage to the jacket or connector is observed. Follow standard lockout/tagout and electrostatic discharge precautions when working inside energized equipment.

Recommendations

Install the cable with a service loop where possible to allow for future adjustments, avoid tight bends that can compromise signal integrity, and keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines to reduce interference.
