Adaptador Lenovo mini-DisplayPort para VGA 0A36579 — adaptador de vídeo passivo para ligação de ecrã miniDP para VGA

The Lenovo mini-DisplayPort to VGA adapter 0A36579 is a compact passive video adapter that converts a miniDP output to a standard VGA signal. It enables connection of laptops, desktops or other devices with a mini-DisplayPort output to VGA monitors, projectors and legacy displays. The adapter is designed for plug-and-play use with no additional drivers required and fits into workflows that require compatibility with older display hardware for presentations, office applications or multimedia playback.

Advantages

This passive adapter offers straightforward signal conversion from mini-DisplayPort to VGA in a small, portable form factor. It provides reliable analogue video output without the need for external power or software installation. The adapter's simple design makes it convenient for mobile use and for quickly switching between modern miniDP devices and existing VGA infrastructure.

Suitable for

• Connecting a mini-DisplayPort laptop to a VGA monitor or projector for presentations
• Using older VGA displays with modern miniDP-equipped computers
• Office setups where legacy VGA equipment must remain compatible with newer devices
• Home multimedia or secondary-display arrangements with VGA-only screens

Key specifications

• Connection: mini-DisplayPort (male) to VGA (female)
• Conversion type: passive digital-to-analogue video adapter
• Signal supported: VGA analogue video output (RGBHV)
• Compatibility: devices with mini-DisplayPort video output and VGA displays
• Form factor: compact, lightweight adapter for portable use

How to use

Insert the mini-DisplayPort end of the adapter into the miniDP output of your computer or device. Connect a standard VGA cable from the adapter's VGA female connector to the VGA input on the monitor or projector. Power on both devices and select the appropriate input on the display. The adapter operates without drivers; the host device may need display settings adjusted (resolution, refresh rate, or display mode such as duplicate/extend) through the operating system's display control panel.

Recommendations

For optimal image quality, set the output resolution on the source device to a resolution supported by the VGA display and avoid resolutions higher than the display's native capability. Use a high-quality VGA cable and keep cable lengths moderate to reduce signal degradation. If no signal is detected, verify that the mini-DisplayPort output supports video and that the display input is selected correctly.
