Cabo ótico ativo AOC SFP+ CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M 10 Gbit/s, 5 m

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-5M provides a factory-terminated SFP+ solution for short-reach high-speed links. The AOC supports 10 Gbps data transfer over a 5 m optical link and is designed for use with SFP+ ports that accept QLogic-compatible AOCs. Its optical construction reduces electromagnetic interference and lowers power consumption compared with equivalent copper twinax cables, making it suitable for dense data center environments and rack-to-rack interconnects.

Advantages

The AOC delivers full 10 Gbps performance with low latency and stable signal integrity across a 5 m span. Being factory-terminated eliminates field termination and simplifies deployment. Optical transmission provides improved immunity to EMI and enables lower power consumption compared with active copper alternatives. The compact SFP+ form factor conserves port density on switches and servers.

Suitable for

• Short-reach connections between switches and top-of-rack devices
• Server-to-switch and server-to-storage links in data centers
• High-density rack interconnects where cable management and port density matter

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector form factor: SFP+
• Length: 5 meters
• Transmission medium: optical fiber within AOC assembly
• Latency: low, suitable for low-latency applications

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your switch, server or storage device, ensuring the device accepts QLogic-compatible AOCs. The factory-terminated assembly requires no additional termination or transceivers. After insertion, verify link status via the host device interface and configure the network settings as required for your environment.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m AOC for short-reach links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile strain on the optical cable; follow equipment manufacturer's guidelines for SFP+ module handling and port insertion/removal to maintain performance and longevity.
