Cabo ótico ativo CBO SFP28-AOC-50M para dispositivos SFP28, 50 m de comprimento

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-50M for SFP28 devices, 50 m length is a 25GbE-compatible active optical cable engineered to provide a fixed optical link between SFP28 ports. Designed for data center and enterprise networking environments, this 50 m AOC replaces separate transceivers and patch cords with a single, pre-terminated optical assembly that reduces installation time and cable management complexity. The cable supports direct optical connections for switch-to-switch, server-to-switch and storage networking applications where a reliable 50 m link is required.

Advantages

The AOC delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity with consistent 25GbE signal integrity over 50 meters while eliminating the need for field-terminated fiber connectors. Its pre-terminated and pluggable SFP28 form-factor simplifies deployment and minimizes insertion errors compared with discrete transceivers and patching. The fixed optical path reduces potential points of failure and helps maintain predictable optical loss and performance in rack and cabinet environments.

Suitable for

• Switch-to-switch connections within and between racks
• Server-to-switch uplinks in data centers
• Storage area network links requiring 25GbE bandwidth over 50 m
• High-density patching scenarios where simplified cable management is needed

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 plug-and-play optical connectors
• Data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet (25GbE)
• Length: 50 meters
• Cable type: Active optical cable with integrated transceivers
• Form factor: Hot-pluggable SFP28 modules at both ends
• Use environment: Data center and enterprise networking

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on networking equipment until the latch engages. No separate transceiver modules or fiber patch cords are required. Ensure both endpoints support 25GbE SFP28 connectivity and verify link status through the devices' management interfaces. For removal, depress the release mechanism on the SFP28 module and withdraw the connector carefully to avoid stressing the cable assembly.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius; avoid exposure to crushing or excessive tension. Use proper cable guides or trays in racks and cabinets to prevent mechanical strain. Confirm compatibility with the host device vendors' SFP28 port policies where vendor lock or specific transceiver listings apply. Perform link verification and, if available, monitor optical diagnostics to ensure expected performance.
