Cabo ótico ativo CBO SFP28-AOC-7M 7 m SFP28 25 Gbit/s ligação direta para Meraki

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-7M is a 7-meter SFP28 direct-attach optical link compatible with Meraki equipment that supports 25Gb/s interfaces. The cable provides a factory-integrated optical connection intended for high-speed server, switch or storage interconnects, offering reduced electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity compared with longer copper direct-attach cables. The 7 m length enables flexible rack-to-rack or row-to-row connections in data center and enterprise network environments while keeping latency and power consumption low.

Advantages

The SFP28-AOC-7M delivers a stable 25Gb/s optical connection designed for hot-pluggable SFP28 ports, combining the simplicity of a direct-attach solution with the benefits of optics. It minimizes cable bulk and electromagnetic interference, simplifies cabling runs at medium distances, and maintains consistent signal quality over the full 7 meter reach. The pre-terminated factory assembly reduces installation time and risk of connector contamination compared with field-terminated fiber solutions.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack 25Gb/s connections in data centers
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch high-speed links
• Storage area network interconnects requiring low latency
• Environments where reduced EMI and compact cabling are needed

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP28 optical direct-attach
• Data rate: 25 Gb/s
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 7 meters
• Form factor: hot-pluggable SFP28 modules at each end
• Signal characteristics: low latency, maintained signal integrity over full length

How to use

Insert each SFP28 module end into compatible SFP28 ports on the devices to be connected, ensuring the modules fully seat and any port levers or retention clips are engaged. No separate transceiver installation or fiber termination is required because the cable is factory-assembled. After physical insertion, verify link status on connected devices and configure network settings as required for 25Gb/s operation. For hot-plug operations, follow the host equipment vendor's guidelines to avoid unintended link flaps.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius. Use the 7 m active optical cable for medium-reach connections where copper DACs are impractical or where EMI reduction and improved signal integrity are desired. Confirm compatibility with the specific Meraki model and firmware in your environment prior to deployment.
