Cabo adaptador ATX ShiverPeaks 78228-HQ – adaptador de alimentação de 24 pinos para 20 pinos

The ShiverPeaks 24-pin to 20-pin power adapter cable converts a modern 24-pin ATX PSU connector to a 20-pin motherboard plug. It is a short, fixed wiring adapter intended to bridge compatibility between current power supplies and older 20-pin motherboards without changing PSU internals. The cable provides a straightforward physical connection and is useful for hardware upgrades, repairs, testing, and situations where a legacy motherboard must be powered by a contemporary power supply.

Advantages

This adapter cable offers a simple and direct conversion from a 24-pin ATX connector to a 20-pin plug, preserving pin order and basic power lines required by legacy motherboards. Its short length reduces cable clutter inside a PC case and minimizes signal path complexity. The adapter requires no drivers or configuration and can be installed quickly during build, repair, or diagnostic tasks.

Suitable for

• Upgrading or testing older motherboards that use a 20-pin ATX power connector
• Repairing systems when the original 20-pin power cable is unavailable
• Compatibility bridging between modern 24-pin PSUs and legacy PC hardware
• Bench testing and diagnostics where a temporary adapter connection is needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: 24-pin ATX (female) to 20-pin ATX (male)
• Cable length: approximately 0.15 m
• Wiring: fixed pin mapping for standard ATX power rails
• Usage: passive adapter without voltage regulation or additional electronics
• Construction: molded plastic housings with crimped contacts

How to use

Power off and unplug the power supply and system before connecting the adapter. Align the 24-pin PSU connector with the adapter’s 24-pin socket and insert until it latches. Then align the 20-pin plug with the motherboard power header and press until it seats securely. Ensure pins are fully engaged and that no wires are pinched. After installation, reconnect power and power on the system to verify stable operation.

Recommendations

Use this adapter only with compatible ATX power supplies and 20-pin motherboards. Do not rely on the adapter for permanent electrical modifications or to bypass missing required power rails on nonstandard boards. For long-term installations or systems that require additional power lines (for example, high-current CPU or PCIe rails), use a PSU and cabling designed for the specific motherboard form factor.
