Cabo de fibra ótica EFB Elektronik O7413FT.40

The EFB Elektronik O7413FT.40 is a 40 m OM3 multimode fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for high-speed short-range links, the cable supports reliable data transmission in structured cabling systems and point-to-point connections. Its aqua-coloured jacket provides easy visual identification in crowded cable runs and conforms to typical OM3 performance parameters for multimode fibre deployment.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers consistent multimode performance suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth applications over short to medium distances. The SC connectors provide a push-pull connection type that is widely supported in network equipment, while the 50 µm core diameter matches OM3 specifications for reduced modal dispersion. The 40 m length offers flexibility for linking racks, switches, and patch panels without additional splicing or intermediary joints.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between racks and switches
• Interconnects in office LAN environments
• Short-range high-bandwidth links (e.g., 10GBASE-SR)
• Structured cabling backbones within buildings

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Length: 40 metres
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC on both ends
• Jacket colour: Aqua
• Typical use: Short-range, high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Unpack the cable and inspect connectors for dust or damage before installation. Clean connector endfaces with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool if necessary. Route the cable along existing cable trays or pathways, avoiding sharp bends and excessive pulling force; maintain minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre. Insert the SC connectors into compatible SC ports on network switches, patch panels, or transceivers until the connector latches. Perform link verification and optical testing (insertion loss/return loss) as part of commissioning to confirm expected performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment; protect connector endfaces with dust caps when not connected. Avoid tight bends and excessive tension during routing. For optimal performance in high-speed links, combine this OM3 cable with compatible multimode transceivers and ensure connectors are clean and properly seated before activation.
