Cabo InfiniBand/fibra ótica BlueOptics ATYY-BO 3 m SFP+ macho/macho

The BlueOptics ATYY-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3 m SFP+ Male/Male is a 3-metre duplex optical link designed for high-speed data transmission between SFP+ ports. Intended for use in data centres and high-performance computing environments, this cable supports low-latency, high-bandwidth connections and offers a compact, hot-pluggable alternative to active transceivers. The cable uses InfiniBand signalling over optical fibre to maintain signal integrity across short to medium reach interconnects.

Advantages

This BlueOptics InfiniBand fibre optic cable delivers consistent data throughput and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. Its SFP+ male-to-male configuration simplifies direct connections between compatible transceiver slots, reducing the number of active components required. The 3 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or within-rack connections while maintaining a low-profile, bend-tolerant design suited for dense cabling environments.

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible SFP+ ports and are configured to accept optical InfiniBand links before installation. Gently align each SFP+ connector with the transceiver slot and insert until it seats securely; engage any retention latch if present. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension, maintaining the minimum bend radius recommended by fibre handling guidelines. After connection, verify link status on both devices and confirm negotiated speed and link health through device management interfaces.

Recommendations

Handle the fibre optic cable by the connector bodies and avoid touching the optical endfaces. Store with protective caps when not in use and perform endface cleaning if required. For optimal performance in dense installations, label both ends and maintain organised routing to prevent stress on connectors and preserve signal quality.
