Cabo SFP-DAC Lancom Systems LANCOM SFP-DAC100-1m — 1 m, SFP para SFP, duplex integral

The Lancom Systems LANCOM SFP-DAC100-1m is a 1 metre direct-attach copper SFP cable with SFP connectors on both ends and full-duplex operation. It is intended for short-range, high-speed interconnections between devices equipped with SFP ports, such as switches, routers and servers. The cable offers a low-latency, plug-and-play connection suited for rack-to-rack and device-to-device links in data centres and network cabinets.

Advantages

This direct-attach cable provides a cost-effective alternative to separate SFP transceivers by combining connector and copper link in a single assembly. Tested for compatibility with Lancom devices, it simplifies installation through hot-swappable operation and reduces setup time. The full-duplex design and support for high link speeds minimise latency and maintain stable throughput for short-distance interconnects.

Suitable for

• Short-range connections between switches in a rack or adjacent racks
• Server-to-switch links in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnection of routers, gateways and firewall appliances with SFP ports
• Temporary or permanent cabling where a simple plug-and-play SFP link is required

Key specifications

• Length: 1 metre
• Connector type: SFP male on both ends
• Operation: full duplex
• Maximum link speed: up to 100 Gbps
• Operating temperature range: 0–70 °C
• Colour and material: black, steel construction

How to use

Insert each SFP connector into the SFP port of the devices you want to link, ensuring the connectors are aligned and fully seated. The cable supports hot-swapping, so it can be connected or removed while devices are running; observe device vendor guidance for safe insertion and removal. After physical connection, verify link status on both devices and configure port settings as required by your network (speed, duplex, VLANs or trunking).

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the cable for short-distance, intra-rack or adjacent-rack connections and avoid extending beyond recommended reach for copper SFP-DACs. Ensure compatible SFP interfaces and up-to-date device firmware; check device port configuration after installation to confirm negotiated link speed and duplex mode.
