Caixa elétrica Rittal 1531.000, caixa de aço IP55, 300×120×200 mm

Rittal 1531.000 is a compact steel electrical enclosure with IP55 protection and external dimensions of 300 × 120 × 200 mm. Designed for housing electrical and control components, this terminal box KX offers a gland plate for organised cable entry and flexible interior installation. The steel housing is suitable for indoor use and for sheltered outdoor locations where protection against dust and water jets is required. Supplied as a single unit, it is intended for small distribution, junction and control assemblies where a robust, space-efficient enclosure is needed.

Advantages

The steel construction provides mechanical strength and long-term durability while the IP55 rating ensures protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. The integrated gland plate simplifies cable routing and reduces installation time. The compact footprint and standard shape allow easy mounting in confined spaces and compatibility with common mounting accessories. Corrosion-resistant finishing and precise door fit improve environmental sealing and maintenance convenience.

How to use

Mount the enclosure on a firm, flat surface using the supplied mounting points and appropriate fasteners. Use the gland plate to position cable glands or conduit entries and route incoming and outgoing cables through the designated openings. Install internal components such as DIN-rail mounted terminals, relays or small control units on the internal mounting plate or back panel, ensuring appropriate clearances for ventilation and wiring. Verify the door closes fully and seals correctly to maintain the IP55 protection level before energising the circuits.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, install the enclosure in sheltered locations out of direct exposure to heavy rain or continuous water jets. Use compatible cable glands with sealing ratings that match the enclosure protection class, and apply corrosion-protective measures in aggressive environments. Observe electrical safety standards when wiring and ensure proper grounding of the steel housing.
