Caixa elétrica Rittal 1566.000, aço inoxidável, IP66, 300×200×120 mm

Rittal 1566.000 is a stainless steel electrical enclosure with IP66 protection, designed for wall mounting to protect electrical components from dust, jets of water and harsh environmental conditions. With external dimensions of 300 × 200 × 120 mm, this compact terminal box accommodates control modules, terminals and small instrumentation while offering corrosion resistance inherent to stainless steel construction. The enclosure features a secure, gasketed door and solid mounting points suitable for industrial, outdoor and washdown environments.

Advantages

The stainless steel construction provides long-term corrosion resistance and mechanical stability in demanding conditions. IP66 protection ensures reliable sealing against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making the enclosure suitable for indoor and outdoor installations where moisture and particles are present. The compact footprint and standard wall-mount design simplify installation and integration into control panels or machinery. Internal space and mounting provisions support organized placement of terminals and small devices.

How to use

Mount the enclosure on a flat, stable wall surface using appropriate fasteners for the substrate, ensuring the enclosure remains level. Open the gasketed door and secure internal accessories such as mounting plates, DIN rails or terminal blocks as required for your application. Route cables through properly selected cable glands or conduit entries to maintain the IP66 rating, and seal unused openings. After wiring and component installation, close the door and tighten the fasteners evenly to ensure the gasket compresses uniformly and the enclosure maintains its protection rating.

Recommendations

To preserve IP66 performance, inspect gaskets and sealing faces periodically for damage, and use compatible stainless steel or corrosion-resistant fasteners in corrosive environments. Select cable glands rated for IP66 and sized for your cable diameters. For electrically noisy environments, consider internal shielding or filter modules and maintain adequate separation between power and signal wiring.
