Caixa elétrica Rittal KX 1557.000

The Rittal KX 1557.000 is a steel electrical enclosure designed for secure housing of electrical and electronic components in demanding environments. With IP66 protection, the enclosure provides a high level of resistance to dust and powerful water jets, while its compact external dimensions (200 mm width, 120 mm depth, 500 mm height) make it suitable for confined installation spaces. The robust sheet-steel construction ensures mechanical durability and long service life in industrial and commercial settings.

Advantages

The steel construction delivers mechanical strength and impact resistance suitable for industrial use. IP66 protection safeguards internal equipment from dust ingress and heavy water exposure, reducing downtime and maintenance needs. Its compact footprint allows flexible mounting in cabinets, on walls or inside larger assemblies. The design supports secure cable entry and component mounting, providing a stable environment for controllers, terminal blocks and small power distribution elements.

How to use

Before installation, verify the enclosure dimensions and IP rating meet site requirements. Mount the enclosure securely to a stable surface or panel using appropriate fasteners and observe recommended clearances for ventilation and cable entry. Fit internal mounting hardware or DIN rails as required, then install electrical components such as terminal blocks, relays or small controllers. Route and secure cables through suitable gland entries or knockouts, maintain correct separation of power and control wiring, and ensure the gasketed door closes fully to preserve IP66 protection. Follow local electrical codes and safety practices during all installation and maintenance activities.

Recommendations

Use appropriate cable glands and sealing accessories rated to the same protection class to maintain IP66 performance. For corrosive environments or where increased chemical resistance is needed, consider additional protective coatings or stainless-steel alternatives. Periodically inspect the gasket and fasteners to ensure ongoing environmental protection.
