Fita adesiva de embalagem 3M Scotch 6890 PVC 66 m × 50 mm castanho

3M Scotch 6890 PVC packaging tape, 66 m × 50 mm in brown, is designed for sealing cartons and parcels in warehouse, shipping and storage environments. The tape combines a PVC backing with a pressure-sensitive adhesive formulated to deliver consistent adhesion on corrugated cardboard and common packing surfaces. Available in a standard 50 mm width and a 66 m roll length, this packaging tape is suitable for both manual and machine application where a durable, visible seal is required.

Advantages

The PVC backing provides good tensile strength and tear resistance, while the adhesive offers reliable initial tack and long-term bond on corrugated cardboard. Its brown colour conceals contents and markings while providing a uniform appearance on brown cartons. The tape is dimensionally stable and suitable for use with handheld dispensers or automatic sealing machines, giving consistent performance in routine packing operations.

Suitable for

• Sealing cardboard boxes and corrugated cartons
• General-purpose packing in warehouses and distribution centres
• Manual packing stations using handheld dispensers
• Light- to medium-duty machine sealers

Key specifications

• Material: PVC backing with pressure-sensitive adhesive
• Roll length: 66 metres
• Width: 50 millimetres
• Colour: brown
• Suitable application methods: manual dispensers and machine sealing
• Surface compatibility: corrugated cardboard and general packing substrates

How to use

Ensure carton flaps are properly folded and the sealing surface is clean and dry. For manual application, load the roll into a suitable handheld dispenser, align the tape across the carton seam, press down firmly along the centre of the tape and smooth edges to secure the bond. For machine application, verify the tape roll is correctly seated in the sealer and adjust tension and cutting settings according to machine instructions. Apply consistent pressure along the tape during sealing for optimal adhesion.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use within recommended storage life to maintain adhesive performance. Test adhesion on specific carton materials before large-scale use to confirm compatibility.
