Fita filamentar 3M hh fita filamentar 50 mm x 50 m transparente — 3M

3M Filament Tape hh Filament-Klebeband 50 mm x 50 m transparent is a bi-axially reinforced adhesive tape designed for demanding packaging and industrial applications. The tape combines a clear backing with embedded glass filaments to provide very high tensile strength and resistance to tearing, while the pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures secure adhesion to a variety of surfaces. With a 50 mm width and 50 m length, this transparent filament tape is intended for bundling, reinforcing packages, pallet strapping, and securing heavy cartons during transport and storage.

Advantages

The filament reinforcement delivers exceptional tensile strength and reduced stretch, improving package integrity under strain. The transparent backing allows partial visibility of labels and markings beneath the tape. The pressure-sensitive adhesive offers immediate tack and long-lasting bond on corrugated cardboard, paper, plastic and some painted surfaces. This tape resists splitting and tearing along applied stress lines due to the bi-axial filament structure.

Suitable for

• Securing and reinforcing pallet loads and heavy cartons
• Bundling pipes, rods and long goods for transport
• Strapping and reinforcing shipments for freight and logistics
• Applications where high tensile strength and low elongation are required

Key specifications

• Backing: transparent film with bi-axial filament reinforcement
• Adhesive type: pressure-sensitive adhesive formulated for packaging
• Width: 50 mm
• Length: 50 m
• Reinforcement: glass or synthetic filaments embedded crosswise for high tensile strength
• Typical properties: high tensile strength, low elongation, tear resistance

How to use

Clean and dry the surface area before application to ensure optimal adhesion. Measure and cut the required length of filament tape, or use a compatible tape dispenser for faster application and controlled tension. Apply the tape with firm pressure along the seam or area to be reinforced; for palletizing or bundling, wrap the tape evenly and overlap slightly to distribute load. For heavy-duty applications, consider multiple wraps or perpendicular layers to increase holding strength. Store the roll in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.

Recommendations

For best results on corrugated fiberboard and standard packaging substrates, apply at room temperature and ensure full contact between adhesive and surface. Test adhesion on painted or sensitive surfaces before extended use. Use a dispenser or tension-controlled applicator when bundling or palletizing to maintain consistent tape tension and alignment.
