LevelOne repetidor Gigabit PoE, em cascata, interior/exterior

POR-1220 is a Gigabit PoE-Plus repeater designed to extend the reach of outdoor PoE (802.3af/at) networks beyond the standard 100 m. The device draws power from the PoE Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and provides three RJ-45 ports: one IN port for power and data input and two OUT ports—one PoE-enabled (power + data) and one data-only. Encased in a durable metal housing with IP65 protection, the POR-1220 is intended for installation in exposed outdoor environments and for use with Gigabit PoE devices such as IP digital signage and other 802.3at-powered PDs.

Advantages

POR-1220 extends Gigabit PoE connections by an additional 100 meters per unit, allowing installers to reach up to 200 meters from the PSE and further by daisy-chaining multiple repeaters. It requires no external power supply because it receives power from the PSE, supports wire-speed Gigabit transmission (10/100/1000 Mbps), and features a weatherproof IP65-rated metal enclosure for reliable outdoor use. The unit includes one PoE output and one non-PoE output for flexible device connections.

Key specifications

• Standards: PoE 802.3af/at compatible (High Power Midspan PoE)
• Ports: 3 × RJ-45 (1 × IN, 1 × OUT PoE, 1 × OUT non-PoE)
• Data rates: 10/100/1000 Mbps (wire speed)
• Maximum extension: adds up to 100 m per repeater (extends typical 100 m to 200 m; further extension by daisy-chaining)
• Power: receives power from PSE (no external adapter required)
• Ingress protection: IP65-rated weatherproof metal housing
• Installation: plug-and-play, no software required

How to use

Connect a Gigabit PoE-Plus switch or other PSE to the POR-1220 IN RJ-45 port using standard Ethernet cable for the first 100 m run. From the POR-1220 OUT PoE port connect your PoE-powered device to receive power and data for an additional 100 m. Use the OUT non-PoE port for a data-only connection when power is not required. To extend range beyond 200 m, daisy-chain additional POR-1220 units by connecting the next unit’s IN port to an OUT port of the previous repeater. Ensure the PSE provides sufficient wattage for connected PDs; maximum achievable distance depends on the PD power requirement.

Recommendations

Verify the power budget of your Gigabit PoE-Plus switch (PSE) before deploying one or more POR-1220 units, and confirm PD wattage requirements to determine how many repeaters can be used while maintaining required power at the end device. Use outdoor-rated Ethernet cabling and proper surge protection for installations in exposed locations.
