Chateau LTE6 access point with even faster wireless connectivity and improved processor

MikroTik Chateau LTE6 ax is a high-speed, dual-band home access point that adapts to your needs. It features a powerful quad-core ARM processor, a fast, reliable and responsive CAT6 LTE modem for superior mobile connectivity, and the most advanced networking software on the market - RouterOS. But don't worry - it can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. Chateau is designed to serve the most diverse user groups: IT professionals can use it to its fullest potential, while ordinary home users can plug it in and forget it exists. With Chateau, you will always have options.

Improved ARM processor and 2.5 Gigabit port

Compared to the regular Chateau LTE6, this version has a supercharged quad-core ARM processor running at 1.8 GHz. It is capable of handling even the most complex tasks effortlessly. You can run complex firewall rules, provide encrypted VPN tunnels for the entire office, run the most demanding container applications directly on the router, and more! The addition of 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet gives you even more options. You can use the ultra-fast port to connect additional devices - such as a home media server - or use it as your main ISP connection, keeping your LTE modem as a backup.

Remove bottleneck in mobile network configuration

Do you dream of escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and moving to the countryside? Perhaps you've already moved, but you're frustrated by slow internet speeds. Fear not, because Chateau is here to solve all your connectivity problems. Achieve consistent speeds of up to 300 Mbps with aggregation, as CAT6 allows devices to use multiple bands simultaneously. This is a huge advantage in areas with many LTE users. Chateau LTE6 provides better responsiveness in crowded environments and higher performance for weaker signals in rural areas. Depending on the service provider, Internet speeds have been observed to double in rural areas after switching to band aggregation, so there is no need to wait for cable network expansion.

Ideal for all walks of life

The MikroTik Chateau LTE6 ax comes with all the advanced features of RouterOS, so you get enterprise-level solutions at a consumer price. Run a secure VPN from your office directly to your home, enable all kinds of parental controls, dive deep into specific firewall rules and IPsec hardware acceleration, configure VLANs, set up email or SMS.... notifications. You can even automate complex triggered notifications. However, if you don't need all the complicated stuff - Chateau can still be your best friend. Actually, it is the best choice for mobile operators who don't want their customers to do any configuration. Chateau supports TR-069 technology, which allows you to create custom remote customer management options.

How to use

Place the tabletop router in a central location and insert a MicroSIM for mobile connectivity or connect a wired ISP line to the Ethernet ports. Power the unit and use the web interface or Winbox to perform initial setup: choose an Internet source (LTE or wired), configure wireless SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5/6 GHz bands, and apply basic security settings (WPA3 where supported). For advanced needs, use RouterOS to set up VPN tunnels, VLANs, firewall rules, or run container apps directly on the device. Operators can provision devices remotely via TR‑069 for managed deployments.

Recommendations

For best LTE performance, use carrier aggregation-capable mobile plans and position external antennas toward the nearest cell tower. Use the 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port for high-bandwidth wired devices or as the primary WAN when available, keeping the LTE modem as a failover. Regularly update RouterOS to benefit from security fixes and feature updates.
